In 2015 we started using DSD (Digital Smile Design) concept. Concept is based on correct and exact planning of a patients new smile. We talk to the patient about his wishes, we record a short close up movie, we take detailed pictures, study impressions and bite registry. After inserting models into articulator we start to plan new smile digitaly. We rely on certain facial points which give us some orientation for new smile. Afterwards we make wax-up, silicone key and a mock-up in patients mouth. Then we take more pictures and if we are happy we show patient before and after pictures. We continue explaining the patient our vision, our goal and our treatment plan for which we think is the most suitable for him.
In this purposes we invested a lot of our time, effort and money in this project since we believe that combined planning is crucial for success. We own everything for studio photography. This can help us deliver also esthetic pictures which can be great help for dental office for marketing, our reference and for patients permanent memory of his “makeover”!
